Catching up!

Hi!  I haven't logged on to my blog in a while and my project posts are way behind!  So I will try to catch you up!

This is called Orange Milkweed or Butterfly Weed.  I took this picture on May 30, 2010.

This wildflower was taken on May 31, 2010.  I don't know what it is called but the two blooms are different stages on the same flower.

This is an old cypress tree and the fishing pier at Spring Creek Park in Marianna, Florida.  This was taken on June 1, 2010.

This cross is etched into the ceiling of our church!  I had never seen it before.  I was kneeling at the altar, looked up and saw it!  Taken on June 2, 2010.

Taken on June 3, 2010 in Marianna, Florida.

Project 365/Day 3 - Gardenia Bud

My Dad's Cape Jessamine bushes are full of buds this year! These beautiful flowers are commonly known as Gardenia's. But my Dad says the old folk's call them Cape Jessamine. I thought he was saying Kate Jessamine until I looked it up and realised he was saying Cape instead Kate!

Project 365/Day 2 - Childhood Abandoned

Childhood abandoned…
     Lost…
          Forgotten…
Time has swept it away!

Adulthood beckons…
     Busy…
          Hectic…
No time now to play.

Meet Coco the Hamster

This is my hamster Coco. She is quite a rascal! I took these two photos when she was at the top of her tower.  She loves to go up there and look out.

She has quite a mansion!  There are two cages connected by tubing.  The largest one has an excercise wheel and the tower!

Ask

We have not, because we ask not!  How true that is!  If we would only turn to God he would provide.  In a world where nothing is certain and we can't be sure of what tommorow holds, God is the only thing we can count on.  As my Grandmother used to say, God is the same yesterday, today, and tommorow.  He doesn't change.

Welcome to Photography by Pam!

Hi!  My name is Pam.  I'm a photographer from the Florida Panhandle.  Photography is my passion and my camera is always with me.  So come on in and see the Panhandle through the lens of my camera!

Here are a few of my favorites from my flickr photostream!

Image2

Tiny white wildflowers.  They grow all over the place.  You can find them by the road, in yards, in ditches, and fields.  I love shooting wildflowers and you will often find me on the ground trying to get a macro shot of the tiniest blooms!

The Ride

This is my brother Dale and his oldest son Derek sitting in Dale's latest toy, a '76 MG convertible!  I applied an effect called time machine (in Paintshop Pro) to give the photo the look of a photo taken in the late 1800's.

Forget Me Not

These little bueaties are growing in the flower bed in front of the building where I work!

Showing Off

Dale and his toy!  Derek couldn't resist getting into the shot!

Asiatic Lilies II

These are called Asiatic Lillies!  I found them at Walmart and had to get a couple of pots.  They were too beautiful to leave at the store!  Besides, burgandy is my favorite color!

Dale's Toy

I noticed that Dale's new toy has three windshield wipers!  How cool is that?

The Honeysuckle are blooming!

The honeysuckle vines are blooming at the church.  This vine is growing along a fence at the back of the church's property.
